2023 Qatar University Undergraduate Scholarship for International Students

Each year, Qatar University extends a unique scholarship opportunity to
international students applying for undergraduate programs through the
Qatar University Scholarship. Eligible candidates are encouraged to
submit their scholarship applications during the designated application
period. The selection process for this esteemed scholarship involves a
competitive evaluation, during which applicants’ qualifications and
accomplishments are carefully assessed

Eligibility criteria

In order to qualify for the undergraduate Qatar University Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

• Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Achievement of a minimum high school average of 95%.
• Reception of final acceptance from the university.
• Fulfillment of the admission prerequisites stipulated by the college of application.
• The scholarship must be utilized in the semester it was granted. In the event of necessary deferment, approval from the scholarship committee is mandatory. If a student fails to pass their first semester, the scholarship will be withdrawn, and notification will be communicated through QU email.
• Maintenance of a commendable academic standing.
• Concurrent receipt of this scholarship with another form of sponsorship or scholarship is not permissible.

Conditions for Continuity of Scholarship:

• Sustaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Successfully finishing at least 12 credit hours each semester.
• Upholding continuous enrollment in both Fall and Spring semesters until graduation.
• Meeting the prescribed graduation timeline specified in their study plan.
• Adhering to Qatar University’s academic rules, policies, and procedures.
• Complying with the General Conditions governing the scholarship

• Full coverage of textbook expenses.
• A monthly stipend of 500 Qatari Riyals (6,000 QR annually).
• Access to on-campus housing with double occupancy rooms, along with transportation to and from the university.
• An annual round-trip airfare ticket.
• Sponsorship of a residence permit by Qatar University.”

1. Fill out the online admission application, which includes the “Scholarship Application” section, within the designated application time-frame.
2. Forward the original high school transcript and necessary documentation for international students to Qatar University at the following address:

The application and evaluation process for this scholarship is as follows:

• Students must complete both the admission and scholarship applications online within the designated application period.
• After
  the scholarship application deadline, applicants will be assessed, and
  initial conditional acceptance letters will be sent to eligible
  students.
• Once the university makes its admission decisions, it
  will initiate the visa application process, and students will be
  informed accordingly.
• Final admission and scholarship decisions will be communicated to students via email in accordance with the provided timeline.
