- The Impact Awards will grant multiple awards, with each organization receiving between $10,000 and $50,000. This initiative offers a total funding pool of up to $380,000.
- In addition to monetary support, Zendesk Tech for Good will provide free product and software donations valued at up to $380,000, along with Pro Bono assistance as needed.
Requirements:
- These awards are open to nonprofit organizations interested in leveraging Zendesk software to directly benefit their beneficiary communities.
Evaluation Criteria:
Applications will be assessed by the Zendesk Social Impact review committee based on the following criteria:
- Programmatic Fit: Applicants must demonstrate how the use of new technology and grant funding aligns with the goals and needs of beneficiary communities. They should also illustrate how their projects relate to the Zendesk Foundation’s focus areas of fostering community, promoting resilience, and creating tech career pathways.
- Impact: Strong applications should emphasize the expected outcomes of their projects and outline any potential long-term benefits. Applicants should clarify how their initiatives will ultimately yield positive results for both beneficiary communities and program participants.
- Scale: Organizations should show an understanding of how technology and grant investments will facilitate the growth of their programs. They should address potential challenges and describe planned activities, including any requests for support from the Zendesk Foundation, to achieve their goals.
- Tech Readiness: Applicants should showcase their organization’s capacity to invest time in implementing and effectively utilizing new software by relevant project stakeholders. While Zendesk will provide expert support as needed, applicants should detail which team members will oversee the platform, how staff engagement will be encouraged, and their overall plans for maximizing the software’s impact on their projects.
