ITC Excellence Scholarship Programme for Geo-information Science and Earth Observation in the Netherlands

ITC Excellence Scholarship Programme ITC offers a number of partial scholarships for intake in its Master’s Geo-information Science and Earth Observation.

In a competitive procedure, scholarships will be allocated to students with excellent previous study results.

The Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation at the University of Twente is presenting the ITC Excellence Scholarships for students pursuing a master’s degree program.

The ITC Excellence Programme is open to outstanding students applying for one of the following ITC Master’s Programs: Master‘s in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation, Blended Master’s in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation, and Master’s in Spatial Engineering.

Faculty of Geo-Information Science & Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente provides international postgraduate education, research and project services in the field of geo-information science and earth observation using remote sensing and GIS.

Eligibility criteria

The Scholarship Programme is available for excellent students admitted to the Faculty ITC’s Master’s programme Geo-information Science and Earth Observation with specialisations in:

• Applied Remote Sensing for Earth Sciences
• Geoinformatics
• Geo-information Management for Land Administration
• Natural Hazards and Disaster Risk Reduction
• Natural Resources Management
• Urban Planning and Management
• Water Resources and Environmental Management
• Free specialisation

Applicants are expected to achieve an average mark for the ITC study
program that places them within the top 10% of marks obtained by our
regular students. Consequently, only academically outstanding applicants
will be chosen to receive these scholarships.

Value

As this is a partial scholarship, admitted applicants
must be able to show that additional funding for the two-year Master’s
programme is available to complement the funding through this
scholarship (i.e. covering all remaining fees and costs, € 14,496,
before the payment deadline).

• Residing in and being a national of a country listed on the OECD-approved List of Recipients of Official Development Assistance
• Having completed the Bachelor’s degree from a well-acknowledged university outside the Netherlands
• Academic performance among the top 10%
• English: IELTS 6.5
• Relevant background for the intended field of study
• Not eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans.
