Southeast Missouri State University International Academic Excellence Scholarships Award

Southeast Missouri State University is providing a valuable opportunity
to support students’ education in the USA through its International Academic
Excellence Scholarships program. The International Academic
Excellence Award is for beginning freshmen. It is renewable for three
academic years (maximum of four consecutive academic years).
Additionally, at the end of each academic year, students must have a
Southeast cumulative 3.0 GPA and completed 24 Southeast credit hours
(may include Southeast summer hours). Recipients who do not meet this renewal criteria, but do meet the
renewal criteria for the International Achievement Award (IAA) will
receive the IAA the following year.

Southeast Missouri State University, often referred to as SEMO, is a
comprehensive public university located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
USA. Founded in 1873, it has a rich history of providing quality
education and fostering academic excellence. SEMO offers a wide range of
undergraduate and graduate programs across various disciplines,
including business, education, health sciences, fine arts, and more.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, applicants must have to enroll in graduate coursework

  • Applicants must be an overseas citizens.
  • GPA 3.75 (high school)
    ACT 27+

    SAT (ERW+Math) 1280+

    Meet one of the following requirements:

    • IELTS Academic / 6.5
    • TOEFL iBT / 79
    • iTEP / 3.9
    • PTE Academic / 53
    • Duolingo English / 110

    GPA is evaluated on a 4.0 scale using a 6th or 7th semester
    transcript. An ACT or SAT score is required for graduates of a high
    school where English is the sole medium of instruction.

Value

Each successful scholar will receive the award amount of ($4,000 fall and $4,000 spring)  to cover their expenses in the USA.

Application process

For applying, candidates have to enroll in the graduate degree programme at the university.

  • Supporting Documents: Must attach your copy of passport, academic transcripts, affidavit of financial support, and proof of finances and email it to international@semo.edu
  • Admission Requirements: Students must submit standardized test scores of ACT and SAT.
  • Language Requirement: If English is not your first language, you will need to provide evidence that your English language proficiency is adequate for admission
