Strathclyde EU Engagement Scholarships in UK

This postgraduate scholarships will be accessible to students who meet our eligibility requirements.

There are unlimited awards available to international students applying for undergraduate study at the university. These funding opportunities are open from 1 January 2021 for the academic session 2022/2023.

Eligible courses

Undergraduate degree will be awarded in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences courses, Strathclyde Business School courses, Faculty of Engineering courses, and Faculty of Science courses

Eligibility criteria

These scholarships will be offered to EU applicants who would have previously qualified for Home (Scottish/EU) fee status but, due to Brexit, will now be categorized as eligible for International fee status.

The assessment of your eligibility for this scholarship will be conducted automatically when you submit your study application, so there is no need to submit a separate scholarship application.

The scholarships will automatically be granted to:

• EU nationals and their dependent family members who are self-funding and meet the following criteria:
  • Reside in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the UK at the time of application.
  • Are classified as international students for tuition fee purposes.
  • Are enrolling in full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught Masters programs in 2023.

Please note that this scholarship does not apply to students classified as Home or RUK for tuition fee purposes.”

Value

• £8,000 for all full-time undergraduate degrees in the Departments of Physics, Pure and Applied Chemistry, and the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences
• £7,000 for all full-time undergraduate degrees in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences
• £6,000 for all full-time undergraduate degrees in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics

Application process

• Application process: To obtain this education award, applicants need to apply for admission in an undergraduate degree at the university. You do not need to make a separate application for this scholarship.
• Supporting Documents: You may be asked for certified copies of qualifications, a transcript of results, a copy of passport, a copy of sponsor letter/Award, and copies of any other documentation.
• Admission Requirements: For admission, applicants must meet the entry requirement for taking part in the program.
• Language Requirement: If English is not the candidate’s first language, then they need to provide a suitable English language test certificate, for example, IELTS
