The University of New Haven is extending a warm welcome to students to become part of its vibrant and inclusive community through the Undergraduate Scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year.

This scholarship opportunity is open to all students, both domestic and international, who have received an acceptance notification for their applied undergraduate honors program at the University of New Haven. Scholarship recipients will be awarded a sum of $1,000.

Application Deadline: The last date to apply for the scholarship is May 1 for the fall semester or January 1 for the spring semester

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:

  • The applicants must apply for full-time undergraduate admission.

Value

Available to First-Time Students

  • Presidential Scholarship • $21,000 – $26,000
  • Distinguished Scholar Awards • $15,000 – $20,000
  • Charger Award • $10,000 – $14,000

Available to Transfer Students

  • Transfer Scholar Award • $12,000 – $24,000

Available to All Students

    • Honors Scholarship • $1,000

Application for this program is by invitation and requires supplemental
documentation. Students who are accepted will be notified and the
scholarship amount will be additional to any merit-based scholarship
awarded. The Honors Scholarship is renewable if you maintain the
requirements of the University’s Honors Program

Application process

  • To be considered for one of our academic scholarships, all
    you need to do is apply for full-time undergraduate admission. If
    accepted, you will automatically be considered for an academic
    scholarship.
  • Award decisions will be based upon your academic credentials at the time of your admissions decision.
  • Students must have a completed application for admission on
    file by May 1 for the fall semester or January 1 for the spring semester
    in order to be considered for an academic scholarship.
  • Awards are based upon the availability of funds.
  • The scholarships are partial merit scholarships and the student must have met our English language proficiency requirement.
